Cultivating Kindness with Lisa Teh

Cultivating Kindness with Lisa Teh

We are so pleased to be bringing our next Cultivating Kindness interview to you, with Lisa Teh.

Lisa has founded so many things including Codi Agency, a digital marketing agency; 101 Lifestyle, a minimal lifestyle brand; and most recently, LISNIC, an online platform designed to connect Business and Mind Coaches from around the world with Mentees looking to fast track their career, scale their business and become mentally stronger.

Despite being busy running all of these initiatives, Lisa has always been generous with her time, helping so many people fund confidence and get started on the path to achieve their dreams. We were thrilled to be able to chat with her about how she cultivates kindness in her life.

1. How would you describe yourself in one sentence?

Someone who is lucky to do something they love every day.

2. What does kindness mean to you and how do you apply it to your life and the work that you do?

Kindness to me is caring about others. Most of the time, being time is free, so there is no excuse for not being kind! As a leader, my style is definitely leading with kindness. I used to see that as a weakness, but now I embrace it, and I believe being kind, and really, just being a good person, will always win at the end of the day. Sure, it may take you a little longer to where you want to go, but nothing is worth sacrificing your values and integrity for.

3. How has being kind helped you along your journey?

It has allowed me to form relationships with incredible people that have been instrumental in helping me get to where I am in life today.

4. What inspires you?

Being around people who are passionate about what they do.

5. Do you have any daily rituals?

Taking my dog Wolfie for a walk with my husband, exercise and sending voice messages via WhatsApp to my friend Mia!

6. What is the best advice you’ve been given?

Do what makes you happy.

7. Do you know what your purpose or ‘why’ is?

To help people.

8. What is your #1 book recommendation and why?

I love That Will Never Work by Netflix Co-Founder Marc Randolph. I would recommend listening to the audio book as he actually narrates it! It’s not only a great insight into the creation of one of the world’s biggest companies, but it’s a great lesson into always giving something a go.

9. Who is your #1 kindness role model and why?

My parents. They have always taught my brother and I to care about others.

10. What is your favourite Karma Collective product and why?

The Spiced Orange & Cedarleaf Scented Soy Candle because it helps you relax when you’ve had a long day at work!
